Homeware Haul: May

After a very busy start to the year, i’m happy to say that I finally made the time to get back into blogging! I’ve actually missed occupying a little corner of the internet with my bargain buys, so this lady’s not for leaving any time soon!

Besides my love of fashionable garments, I also love all things interiors. I’ve had my own flat since I was 19, so in between university lectures and socialising, I was often breaking a sweat wallpapering my hallway or painting bits of furniture. Nowadays, I love picking up little bits and pieces . This post is a summary of some of the  high street home wear gems i discovered this month.

I found this plastic mini make up organiser in the pound shop a fortnight ago, and its fast becoming one of my favourite things. I have a massive make up organiser which occupies an entire drawer. As much as I love having a one stop cosmetics shop in my dressing table, the last thing i want to be doing is rooting through contour kits and false eyelashes on those 7am starts. I bought this little thing to sit on the top of my desk. It has everything I need within arm’s reach- and for one pretty pound its well worth a buy!

IMG_1408 Next comes my Tiger ‘cage’.  That is to say, Its a pastel pink decorative cage, from my new favourite ‘stuff’ shop on the high street, Tiger. Now I’m not going to lie, I’m unsure as to whether it serves any purpose whatsoever sat on my shelf, but the pastel pink cage detail really offsets any white wall, and I’ve found it’s a really lovely & unique way to display some of my bits and pieces. At a nifty £3, I want them in all colours.

And finally, this handy little lotus jewellery holder is fast becoming a firm favourite of mine. Technically it was gifted to me. But I’ve found that i’m finally beginning to wear rings and jewellery more often as it sits perfectly on my side table. I’ve seen these around in various design shops, and at less than a fiver, they’re a perfect solution to decorative jewellery storage on a space budget. My own lotus is designed by a company called Umbra, they can be found here.
